From January to April, President Liz Magill embarked on Penn Forward: a six-city tour (New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia) where she shared her perspectives on Penn’s strengths and future direction.
Each event featured a Penn Spectrum pre-reception, a fireside chat between President Magill and a volunteer leader from the region, and a post-event networking reception. Over 3,000 alumni, parents, and friends came out to engage and invigorate their connections to the University and each other as they heard from Penn’s ninth president in person, many for the first time.

I was delighted to serve on the Host Committee for President Magill’s tour. The University I love is clearly in very good hands.”David Kaufman, W’92, WG’94

Watching the Penn highlight video, meeting up with classmates who I have not seen in years, and hearing Liz Magill talk about the vibrancy and curiosity of Penn students brought me right back to my time as a College student. After this event, I was motivated to plan a trip to visit Penn to show my partner around campus!”Angela Huang, C’15
