Annenberg School for Communication

The Annenberg School for Communication is a close-knit, vibrant intellectual community dedicated to understanding how communication shapes our lives, informs our decisions, and influences the structures of our societies. As one of the world’s leading schools of communication, we pursue knowledge with purpose, driven by a commitment to building a more just, informed, and connected world.

Our faculty, students, and staff work collaboratively across disciplines to address some of the most pressing challenges of our time, from public health and political polarization to media innovation, cultural change, and the evolving information environment. Grounded in rigorous scholarship and a belief that research should serve society, we seek to advance understanding, foster mutual understanding across differences, and contribute meaningfully to the public good.

Through deep collaboration with partners at Penn and around the world, we share our work widely and connect research to practice, preparing the next generation of thinkers, researchers, communicators, and engaged citizens to create lasting, positive change.
