At The Wharton School, the African-American MBA Student Support Fund is making a difference.
The African-American MBA Student Support Fund was launched one year ago at the Whitney M. Young Jr. Memorial Conference with a goal of raising $3 million. The fund aims to keep Wharton a top and viable option for African-American prospective students seeking to choose a top-tier MBA program.
Providing critical financial aid as well as support for important experiential learning opportunities is the fund’s goal. There is more to education today than classroom learning, and the fund helps students participate in intensive team-building experiences designed to expand their horizons and help them grow as global citizens.
The African-American MBA Student Support Fund is truly a collective effort by alumni, Wharton’s business partners, and friends of the School. A decision to invest in current and future African-American students can make a life-changing difference.
