Stronger Together

Serving the health and at-home needs of Penn Medicine's essential workers

As essential workers deal with the stress, uncertainties, and social changes caused by the pandemic, Penn Medicine is creating resources to help tend to their mental health needs.

PennMedicineTogetherHeart icon   is a central web hub that provides supportive services for Penn Medicine staff. These services range widely, from online classes for school-aged children to a program to coordinate donations of meals for frontline workers—plus, a thank-you page with notes from hundreds of Penn Medicine patients and their families.

Integral to PennMedicineTogether is PennCOBALT, a web-based platform developed in the early weeks of the crisis. After an initial screening, PennCOBALT matches health care workers to mental health resources, including acute care.

Services like these, and many others  are critical to help preserve the well-being of frontline and essential workers—from doctors and nurses to custodial and administrative staff, police officers, and ambulance personnel. A wide range of opportunities are available for those who want to support our health care heroes and our efforts to fight COVID-19.
