Financial Aid and Student Experiences

Making a Penn education affordable and accessible

As the need for student financial aid has grown steadily, so too has Penn’s commitment to increasing access for students at the undergraduate and graduate level, regardless of their means. An affordable education is more than a priority for Penn: it is an imperative that reflects the University’s core values.

Guided by In Principle and Practice, Penn’s strategic framework, we are investing more than ever to advance educational opportunity through the Quaker Commitment, Penn’s comprehensive undergraduate financial aid program. Through the Quaker Commitment, we provide at least full tuition packages for students from families with typical assets earning up to $200,000 annually, along with additional support for limited-income students and those who are the first in their families to attend college. We are equally committed to increasing support for students in graduate programs who help shape disciplines, define new avenues of inquiry, and become leaders in their fields.

Philanthropy to support student financial aid changes individual lives—and when these scholars graduate, their impact ripples throughout their communities and the world.
