Members of the Benjamin Franklin Society (BFS) and their guests showed off their fierce Penn Pride at Houston Hall during the group’s 2019 Homecoming Brunch. The Benjamin Franklin Society, which celebrates its 65th anniversary in Fiscal Year 2019-2020, recognizes donors who have made gifts or pledges of $2,500 or more to annual giving funds in the past fiscal year. BFS hosted this festive event for alumni, Penn parents, students, and friends before the big Homecoming football game on Saturday, November 9.

John H. Zeller, Senior Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations, thanked BFS members for their record-setting support this past fiscal year and introduced Penn Alumni President and University Trustee Ann Reese, CW’74, PAR’06, PAR’12.

“Homecoming is an opportunity to see firsthand how Penn continues to break new ground and create new opportunities for students,” said Reese. “That progress is possible thanks to the inspiring example you set for your fellow alumni through your commitment to annual giving.”

Invigorated by a performance from the Penn Band and Penn Cheer, BFS members made their way to Franklin Field to show their passion and support as the Quakers won an exciting, fourth-quarter, 21-20 victory over Cornell.

As they made their way from Houston Hall, attendees received EcoSmart lunch packs with the Benjamin Franklin Society 65th Anniversary logo as a memento of the event.
