On Tuesday, October 2nd, Dean of the Wharton School Geoff Garrett made the historic announcement that Wharton would be increasing the fundraising goal of its More Than Ever campaign from $850 million to $1 billion.
This new, higher aspiration is possible because of the terrific response that the School has received from donors who are compelled by Dean Garrett and President Gutmann’s vision for Wharton and Penn. With this increased capacity, Wharton will be able to commit to providing even more financial aid to students, attract and retain renowned faculty members, support more research initatives, and stimulate the innovation necessary to confront 21st century challenges.
The overwhelming success of the More Than Ever campaign’s private phase has propelled Wharton to think about their goals in new ways, and has empowered Wharton to reach beyond their original goal.
