On Giving Red and Blue Day, undergraduate alumni, parents, and families are invited to come together in support of The Penn Fund, which helps provide grant-based financial aid packages, enhances academic programs and campus technology, and fosters community through student clubs and organizations. Often, Giving Red and Blue Day is also an opportunity to take advantage of matching challenge funds that could double your impact on student life and learning.

Thank you for supporting The Penn Fund! Although the gift you made earlier this fiscal year will not count toward this effort, we welcome you to make an additional gift of any size in celebration of Giving Red and Blue Day. We also invite you to use our Volunteer Toolkit to help you reach out to your classmates and peers to encourage them to join you in supporting The Penn Fund.

How will matching challenge funds be allocated?
Like all gifts made during this important philanthropic effort, any matching challenge funds will be allocated to The Penn Fund to provide increased support for undergraduate financial aid, student and campus life, and academic enrichment.

Which gifts count to unlock matching challenge funds?
After unlocking our $300,000 challenge gift from Rana Yared, C’06, W’06, we now have another match opportunity. Thanks to a generous gift from Omar, W’04, and Sabrina Vaishnavi, an additional $25,000 will be matched dollar for dollar on Giving Red and Blue Day.

Our Giving Red and Blue Day donation page accepts gifts in United States currency. To make your gift in international currency, please visit the main University donation page. To be counted in real-time, please send an email to pennfund@lists.upenn.edu with your full name and undergraduate class year—and we will gladly count you as a Giving Red and Blue Day donor.
