Sending a child away to college can be nearly as daunting as parenthood itself. As a son or daughter embarks upon a journey of intellectual discovery, personal growth, and, ultimately, independence, parents can feel disconnected from their children. Penn Parents exists not only to help each parent maintain a strong connection with their child throughout his or her time at Penn, but also to build and strengthen a parent’s own unique relationship to the University and the Penn community.

On Thursday, November 20, Penn Parents will host its first-ever Day of Giving. Join Penn parents from all over the world in support of their continued commitment to the undergraduate experience at Penn by making a gift to The Parents Fund during this 24-hour period. These unrestricted gifts allow Penn to continually improve the undergraduate experience through areas such as financial aid, residential enhancements, student life, and academic support.

What The Parents Fund Supports

Each gift, regardless of size, plays an integral role in supporting undergraduate programs, increasing the quality of the Penn student experience, and sustaining the rich Penn tradition of academic excellence and global leadership.

"Participation in the Penn Parents Fund took us far beyond the wonderful experiences our own two children had at Penn,” said Marcia and Clark Silcox, PAR’08, PAR’12. “It connected us to other engaged parents, amazing students, and inspiring faculty. We are so happy to know that our contributions expand Penn's efforts through scholarships, student life enhancement, and teaching initiatives. We thank Penn Parents for the opportunity to remain engaged in Penn's story."
