On Saturday, October 29, amidst the backdrop of a crisp Fall Homecoming weekend, the Benjamin Franklin Society (BFS) welcomed more than 450 members and guests back to campus for its annual Homecoming Brunch. The exclusive event, which took place in Houston Hall, honored parents, friends, and alumni donors of classes from 1948–2016 who supported unrestricted annual giving at Penn during the past year. Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations, John Zeller, and Penn Alumni President and University Trustee, Julie Beren Platt, C’79 took time to address the crowd and thank them for their engagement and support as members of BFS.

Guests received a BFS stadium blanket and photo memento, and were treated to a rousing performance and cheer by the Penn Band and Penn Cheer before moving to their reserved 50-yardline seats at Franklin Field to enjoy the game and cheer the Quakers on to a nail-biting 21-14 victory over Brown.

The Benjamin Franklin Society, the University’s leadership unrestricted annual giving society, was founded in 1955 and provides an opportunity for alumni, parents, and friends of Penn to support the University in the ways it needs it most.
